Peek into future auto tech

Peek into future auto tech

India - 26 Jan 2008

NEW DELHI: A simple human mind is more complex than anything an automobile company can build. Its needs and wants are far more intricate than the most technical of engine components.

So, when you have an opportunity such as an Auto Expo to showcase your innovation to the common man, what do you do?

From navigational devices that play your favorite movie to vehicles that run on Hydrogen, the 9th Auto Expo packed all the punch of technical wizardry.

Carmakers teamed up with component manufacturers to reveal a bevy of products and technology that left the common man dazed with awe. With global warming catching up fast, companies showcased their alternate fuel technologies with enthusiasm.

Honda, Mahindra & Mahindra, Skoda, Mitsubishi and a host of others displayed their expertise in green technology. Covering a wide range of advanced power train solutions, Mahindra displayed different platforms of driveable full hybrid vehicles, micro (start/ stop) hybrid vehicles, bio-fuel vehicles, an electric passenger vehicle, a hydrogen combustion engine vehicle and many recyclable materials and reusable technologies.

B100 and B20 bio-diesel vehicles on Scorpio and Bolero platforms were displayed at the show to illustrate Mahindra’s bio-diesel programme. Bio-diesel is derived from renewable plant sources, which can greatly improve energy security and conventional fuel depletion concerns.

M&M has also been successful in developing the first hydrogen-powered Alfa 3-wheeler vehicle. Not far behind is the FCX Concept, the second-generation Fuel-cell car from Honda, which pioneered the fuel cell technology.

A Fuel-cell vehicle is powered by an electric motor, running on electricity generated by a fuel-stack, which uses hydrogen as its energy source. The FCX Concept boasts a fuel cell system that delivers more power in less space, in a unique, low-floor fuel cell platform

Why A GPS System Is Almost Mandatory For Fishing These Days

Today in the world that we live in if you didn't have a GPS when you go fishing you are likely to not come back home because people go so far offshore these days that when you are offshore you cannot see land, therefore you do not know which direction the land is without electronics unless you are a trained sailor. A GPS is a Global Positioning System that is used to create plots and also to point you in the right direction if you are lost. Satellites will circle the earth twice a day and they will send transmits down to earth to give you an exact location of where you are if you are lost.

GPS will allow you to plot certain points on the GPS so when you go back out fishing you can go to the same spot you went before and catch more and more fish. Where as if you don't own a GPS you will just have to rely on your instinct when you fish and won't be able to know where you last fished. When you have a GPS it is easy to go fishing in the same spot where you caught all the good big fish.

There are so many benefits so owning a GPS. One benefit is for fishing so when you go out fishing you can just plot the points and you will have that spot marked on your GPS so when you go back out fishing you can go back to the same spot or just go find another good spot and mark that down on the GPS. A GPS is and can be used for a lot of different things. Like if you are in your boat and you are lost you should have a plot that says home so that you can just activate home and it will send you in that direction.

A GPS is just a good tool to have when you are out in the ocean boating or fishing offshore. If you don't have a GPS and you are fishing offshore then you don't need to be fishing offshore because you are bound to get lost when going miles off the coastline. When you are 20 miles off the coastline of Florida you cannot see land therefore you do need a GPS to help you navigate and get back home safely. So if you don't own a GPS and you own a boat you need to go to Wal-Mart or Sports Authority or some boating store and get yourself a GPS so you don't become lost in the open sea. This can be very bad if you are out at sea fishing. You won't know which way is land therefore will cause you to possibly drive the boat in the wrong direction which would never happen if you owned a GPS. Once you have a GPS you will always know where you are and how far out you are where as when you are just using your eyes and brain you have no idea where you are when you are fishing offshore without a GPS.

Mind Power - Attracting Abundance

What is the fuel behind the drive of a person that has successfully created a life of abundance for themselves and that fuel was and still is their mind power and the belief they have in it. A belief in that they deserved abundance and they believe they can have it.

Your belief system is going to determine if the Law of Attraction is going to work for you in a positive way. It is always working, it never stops working, its just a matter of it is going to work positive or negative for you and it’s your belief system and your mindset that is going to be the determining factor. Never underestimate the importance of the power of the mind plays in the attraction factor.

We all like to believe that we can attract all the abundance and we can but for many it’s that little inner voice of negativity that has been programmed into all of us growing up and through bad experiences of past failures. The power of the mind and our mind set is very important in using the universal laws of attraction to our benefit.

All of us at one time or another has needed to rid ourselves of these negative blocks that prevents us from using the law of attraction and the sooner we are able to harness our mind power for our benefit the sooner you will reap the rewards and create abundance in your life.

Just remember that this little voice is doing nothing but reinforcing old beliefs that you created from past events that you do not have to believe anymore about yourself because you are creating a new you with new beliefs. Here are 3 quick things you can do to jumpstart your new belief system.

First speak positive things about yourself. When that negative voice starts talking to you quickly reverse everything it is saying to you. If its saying you can’t do this, you will just fail again quickly say to yourself repeatedly I can do this cause I am a winner! Just like the cassette tapes of old when we were tired of listening to what we had previously recorded we would just record over them, do that with that negative voice, record over it with positive messages and the more you do this your new voice will become stronger and stronger in the positive tone it will speak in.

Second you need to reward your accomplishments. No matter how small how mundane you might think it is just do it. Congratulate yourself for any little thing and before long you will start accomplishing bigger task. If it’s as simple as getting out of bed the first time the alarm clock sounds instead of hitting the snooze pat yourself on the back. It is the small basic things like this that set a firm foundation to build on.

Third believe that you deserve abundance in your life. Repeat to yourself daily throughout the day that I deserve abundance. I deserve wealth. I deserve happiness. Whatever you wish for boldly proclaim you deserve it.

Remember this is not going to be an overnight thing. You did not develop all of your bad habits and negative thought patterns overnight so you should not expect overnight results. It takes time but if you stick to the steps outlined here as a starting point and build upon what you have learned here today you will see amazing things start to happen in your life when you focus on using your mind power to bring about the changes you wish for in your life.

De-Stress Your At Home Job

Ring. Ring. The phone just doesnt stop ringing when you work from home. Working from home can be the most fullfilling experience of your life, or it can be the most stressful - the choice is yours. Here is what I have learned to do, to help keep my job my job, and my home my home.

1. Plan your work hours ahead. You set your own schedule, so you can be flexible. Work time is for work, and only work. When you are done working, be done.

2. Go to the "Office". Get ready as if you were going to see 10 people first thing in the morning. You will be much happier to work with yourself all day.)

3. Manage your personal calls. Personal calls are very distracting. I value my work time, and do not accept any calls that are not work related during work time. If it is important, they will leave a message. If it is urgent, I call back, if not, I wait till after work time to return the call.

4. Run errands, don't let them run you. You must plan time to run your errands. We all have them. Not everyday, nor every week, but we all certainly do have them. Consider 1 day a week that you will run errands, set appointments and do favors for others. This is not necessary to do every week, but it is easy to get overwhelmed with requests, appointments and errands, if you do not have a plan.

When you value your time, others do too. If you give it away for free, to everyone, all the time... you are going to be a very busy and stressed-out person. Being balanced will help you breeze through your work week and leave you feeling revived... stress-free. Our hobbies, family and non-work-related activities renew us, and rejuvenate us. They are an important part of our life. Be persistent, consistent, and efficient to be able to "power down" work at the end of the day. Your daily tasks should be complete because you were not distracted. All emails are completed because you worked diligently. So you can turn off your computer at the end of the day, and smile...victoriously!
